The new ChatGrape Desktop client adapts to your work style.

This week we are proud to announce a brand new desktop design for ChatGrape. It’s the first step of navigation improvements that will be released in the upcoming weeks.

In our office there is a picture of Dan and Carol. Dan is a Marketing-Freak in love with fancy bubbles and colors. He is interested in seeing his team members faces when chatting with them and outside of work he uses WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger to communicate with the world.

The “basic view” is for Dan.

Carol on the other hand is a Full Stack Developer. She loves to get her information in a fast and concise way without any visual distractions. She cares about data and if it wasn’t for her team, IRC would still be her Chat of choice.

The “compact view” is for Carol.

With ChatGrape you can now switch between the looks of the chat with a simple click on the settings menu. We want to give you a chat that makes your whole team feel at home, no matter if they are Carols or Dans. And by adding colorful room icons finding the right one is now smooth as butter.

Sometimes Carol and Dan need to fully focus on the discussion, that’s why they are now able collapse the navigation with the click of a button. This allows the content to breath and removes unneeded cluster.

The new room info sidebar gives you a good overview of the people inside the room. With a click on the invite button you can quickly add people within or outside your organization to the conversation.

As of today these features are now shipped to all active organizations within ChatGrape – we wish you and your team a productive week and hope to get your thoughts and feedback.

So what kind of User are you? Are you more a

#Dan  ? 🙂

One more thing.

If you don’t like the width of your navigation you can now drag it to the size of your choice.
